The Information We Collect and How We Use It
When you order with Purple Daisies, we ask for basic information such as your name, e-mail address, home address and credit card details so we can process and deliver your purchase. A contact telephone number may also be required so that we may contact you urgently if there is a problem with your order. All this is necessary to process your request and to notify you of acceptance of your order and when your order has been dispatched.
Unless you notify us that you do not want to receive marketing emails (via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our delivery confirmation and any subsequent marketing emails) we will occasionally send you emails about new products or special offers we think you may be interested in. We use Mailchimp to send our emails and will share your email address with them for these purposes. Mailchimp is fully GDPR compliant.
We also rely on “Legitimate Interest” as a legal basis to process information where we have a clear interest to process your data and it does not impact your rights and freedoms, specifically for email marketing of new products or special offers. We would not want to harm your privacy so please let us know if you have any issues and we will try to explain and accommodate your wishes.
We take your privacy very seriously and will never sell or pass your information to any third parties for marketing purposes or otherwise (save as set out below or unless required by law).
At any stage, you can request that your information is removed from our systems and/or email marketing lists by submitting your request via our Contact Form.
If you have any questions or comments about privacy, you can also send those via our Contact Form.
To complete a purchase, we have to share your information with some of the following third parties who perform our delivery and payment processes (depending on the payment and delivery options you choose):
- Royal Mail (UK & International)
- Hermes (UK & International)
To our knowledge, all these third parties are GDPR compliant.
Your information is stored on a secure, protected server, and is removed and fully deleted once the information no longer serves any purpose within our company.
If for any reason, you are unsure about the personal and account information we are holding in your name, please contact us via our Contact Form. We will happily review your file and update the records if required.
When you provide us with your personal information you have certain rights, these include the right to ensure:
- we process your data fairly and lawfully
- for the purpose it was collected from you
- your data is accurate
- not excessive
- data is secure
- not retained for too long
